Mohn Technology AS is developing the AquaBot, a fully autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV). The net cleaning robot will automatically clean the and inspect the facility daily with machine vision cameras. The vehicle has no protruding parts or sharp edges, and the soft plastic brushes are protected by a dual torque limiter to ensure no damage to the facility. This battery powered cleaning and inspection system is patented and includes advanced hardware and software. The user is given thorough reports after each operation and is alerted if any issues are discovered. The system leads to lower stress and better fish welfare, in addition to being more profitable and efficient compared to conventional cleaning- and inspection solutions.
The AquaBot is compact and lightweight, and require little maintenance and manual interaction.
The system is undergoing computer simulations and tank tests.
